Combined choir music selections:

When Jesus Wept – Round by William Billings. In the public domain. Useful for Lent. We will use this haunting round to feature the choir in the three loft locations. We will toll a D-4 handbell every two measures. The music is in an attachment.

Ave Maria – Franz Biebl HMC 1255   Useful for Advent. -We are asking the choristers to learn the main, SATB music. A SAT trio (or maybe a sextet) will sing the three part sections from the back loft.

Holy Spirit, Living Breath of God – Townend/Getty   Hope C 6000

A beautiful SATB anthem from the contemporary genre, useful for Pentecost.

Praise His Holy Name – Keith Hampton Earthsongs SATB Anton Armstrong Choral Series (1998)   A rousing anthem in the gospel tradition.

Agnus Dei – Lee Dengler   Flammer A 8598   This is one of Andrew’s very favorite anthems, and it will feature a violin obbligato. At the end, the text translates to “give us peace” and you will feel that!

The Lord Bless You and Keep You – Lutkin   I am not listing a publisher because so many of us already have this in our libraries. It is even in the hymnal we use at my church. We should be able to get enough copies of this to go around.

Additionally, we hope and feel that some choirs will want to present an anthem of their own. Add to this a couple of hymns, and we have an hour long program. We want to limit it to one hour.
